Randy had also served as a deacon, elder, and Sunday School teacher at Borderview Christian Church for over 25 years. He had received numerous masonic awards, degrees and titles. He started working in his family business at the age of 16. He is an active member of First United Methodist Church of Elizabethton, the Elizabethton Rotary Club and Elizabethton Kiwanis Club. He has served as a member and chairman of the Tennessee Board of Funeral Directors and Embalmers and is a former director and secretary-treasurer of Selected Independent Funeral Homes. Richard has been married to Norma Greene Tetrick since 1972. They have one son, Tyler, who is active in the family business and is a funeral director.

We employed the services of Tetrick's Bluff City chapel for my grandmother's service. The funeral director tasked with arranging the service was short with us and seemed disinterested in providing any actual help. Both me and my family were all displeased with the treatment we received.

Sandy was born in Bristol, Tenn., to the late Herbert Lee Willen and Helen Virginia Malone Willen. Sandy had worked as a home health caregiver and was a member of the church her husband ministered, Pinecrest Christian Church, where she had taught the Children’s Church and she had also taught Children’s Church at Borderview Christian Church. She was a member of the Hampton Eastern Star, where she had attained numerous Eastern Star Certifications, and was a past Worthy Matron of the Social Order of Beuceant.

Originally from Middlesboro, Kentucky, Renee is a graduate of East Tennessee State University with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a master’s degree in Accountancy. She has served as Treasurer, Secretary, Vice President and President of the ETSU Alumni Association Board and currently serves as a member of that board and of the board of the ETSU Foundation. She was inducted into the ETSU College of Business Hall of Fame in 2003. Renee and her husband of 30 years, Jess Lockhart, who has been with the Sullivan County Tennessee School Systems for 33 years, attend Chinquapin Grove Baptist Church. They took care of my husband with respect and made me and my daughter feel at ease when planning the arangments.
David and the former Melody Grindstaff were married in 1999 and have a daughter, Mary Alexandria. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Elizabethton, where he taught his Sunday School Class. David was an avid collector of military memorabilia and was a wonderful, avid story teller. It was David’s Friday night highlights to watch the Elizabethton High School football team. Justin Stubbs joined Heritage in 2021 as Creative Director, and director of communications.

Thomas is married to his best friend Erin Burton, and they have three children, Caden, Kaylee, and Carly. “Serving others” is his life’s work, and after 40 years of serving families, he now shares his knowledge from those experiences with other funeral professionals. In her current position as HR Administrator, Paula is responsible for the management and administration of company policies, benefits administration, and overseeing human resources activities.

Our company history began over 60 years ago with the founding of the North Funeral Home in Elizabethton, Tennessee. When it was sold to Donald W. Tetrick, Sr., it became the first Tetrick Funeral Home. Donald W. Tetrick, Sr. operated the funeral home by himself until 1968, when he was joined in the business by his son, Richard Tetrick.

She was the go-to for a pep talk, a cheerleader for achievements and the voice of reason in the midst of pain or troubles. Though she herself went through so much pain but emotionally and physically, Sherry always found time for what really mattered the most, family and family was her friends as well. She believed that everyone should be treated with kindness and respect which is exactly what she did. After graduating from Elizabethton High School in 1959, David would move on to nearby East Tennessee State University, which would be followed by law school at the University of Tennessee where he would graduate in 1966.
